RAMBLING ROVERS

SENIOR TRAVEL

We are a group of members who are over the age of 55, who have had at least two Covid shots and who love traveling. We have meetings once a month. Trips are announced both at the meeting, here on this website, on our private Facebook page and in our newsletter. If you are interested in join, call our Office Manager, Pat Fleming, at (509)539-5459. Our office is at 660-R George Washington Way, Richland. Office hours are Mon, Wed, Fri from noon to 2pm (except holidays and 3rd Wednesdays for our meetings. Office phone number is (509)943-2277.

Who We Are
 

Some of the trips we've taken include:

  • San Antonio, Grand Canyon, Washington D.C., Canadian Rockies, Glacier National Park

  • New Orleans and Cajun Country, Mount Rushmore, San Francisco, Alaska cruise

  • Chicago, Albuquerque

  • Antique shopping trips, Spokane and Coeur d'Alene Broadway shows, casinos and many day trips and short overnight trips like Lincoln City and Deception Pass. 

  • 2023 will bring Southern Delight (Charleston, Beaufort, Savannah, Tybee Island, Jekyll Island, St. Simons Island), St. Louis Branson, Memphis, Nashville highlighting 3 Branson shows, President Clinton Library, March of the Ducks at Peabody Hotel, Beale St, Graceland and Grand Ole Opry).

GENERAL TRIP INFORMATION FOR ALL TRIPS

A  gratuity for coach drivers and is included in the total price of the trip. When you write a check for a trip, please include your phone number on the check and also the name of the trip in the memo line.

 

When bringing luggage, please color code it with the school colors for your city which are:

Kennewick - black/orange

Richland - green/gold.

 

If a member needs assistance on a trip (i.e. caretaker) they will need to make arrangements for one and let the travel coordinator know the name and if a wheelchair/walker is being provided by the member. The caretaker's travel fees are to be paid by the caretaker or the member.

 

All members must have two Covid shots before traveling on Rover motorcoaches regardless of state mandates. This is effective until further notice.

 

PICK UP LOCATIONS:

Kennewick (Fred Meyers):

2811 W. 10th (corner of 10th and Hwy 395). Park near the back of the store on the south side.

 

Richland (Winco):

101 Columbia Point Dr. The coach will stop in the first parking lane near Col. Pt. Dr.

 

CANCELLING A TRIP

Refunds aren’t issued until after the trip has happened. If you cancel at least 20 days before the trip, you will get 100% refund. If you cancel less than 20 but before 3 days of the trip, any tickets purchased are subtracted from total and balance refunded. If you cancel within 3 days of the trip, unless you are replaced by someone from the wait list or a letter from the doctor’s office (within 2 months) to verify your illness, there will be no refund. All refunds for all circumstances under this section are subject to approval by the Board.
